About
Ottawa’s Casual Gaming Convention - but what does that mean?
The idea behind Go-Play Ottawa (GPO) is to mix up the gaming scene in Ottawa. Get gamers out of the woodwork, get them playing new stuff with new people, and make new friends.
The vision for GPO is a quarterly event, where there’s room for both scheduled and pick-up gaming. We’ll start small, and hopefully word of mouth will turn this into a real event.
What’ll be on the gaming table? In theory, anything’s up for grabs - RPGs, Minis, Boardgames, CCGs. I expect that the nature of the gaming to be had will reflect the interests of the participants. I’d like to be able to be as ‘hands off’ (in terms of organization) as possible. Maintaining a blog, securing venues, and helping others publicize their events should be the extent of my job. The rest of the time, I want to be playing.
Let’s Go Play.
Oh, if you’re looking for specific details regarding the next installment of GPO, this is your page!

I’m a roleplayer with 20 years of experience in original D&D, AD&D and D&D 3.5, HeroQuest, Vampire, EarthDawn…etc etc.
I’m currently playing AD&D with a group in Ottawa, and I DM the original D&D game online (rules from early 80’s) weekly using webcam, miniatures and tiles.
This is a great hobby, and I’m always interested in finding other roleplaying groups or enthusiasts around the corner.

I’m President of the University of Ottawa Gaming Club, and I was wondering if you are still active in any way.
