Where it all began…

The Go Play sticker saw its genesis in the Story-Games thread The Secret Language of Cars. There, Rob Donoghue suggested that gamers have an easily-identifiable logo that could be placed on car bumpers, laptops, bags, and teeshirts.
Ben Lehman suggested the design, but in red; people griped about the eye-gouging color and it was switched to green. Thus the symbol was born.
Jason Morningstar did up some icons and put them under a Creative Commons license.
Rob set up a cafepress store and Jason set up a spreadshirt store. Both stores offer Go Play merchandise at cost — nobody makes money off of this thing.
A number of gamers then advanced on GenCon, stickers in hand and teeshirts on shoulders, to spread the meme.

How about a button badge somewhere, for pedestrians?
